MediaRadar Expands RSN Coverage to Deliver Complete Sports Ad Intelligence

MediaRadar has expanded its sports advertising coverage to include 25 regional sports networks (RSNs), bridging a key gap in its Video Everywhere platform. This move gives advertisers, agencies, and publishers a comprehensive view of sports ad activity across national broadcast, local linear RSNs, and exclusive live-streaming platforms.

RSNs remain a critical touchpoint for local audiences and ad spend. For example, marketers targeting Boston Celtics or New England Patriots fans can now track spend, creative, and campaigns on NBC Sports Boston alongside national and streaming buys. This visibility is crucial for brands running localized promotions, seasonal campaigns, or limited-time offers like regional retail sales or city-specific restaurant promotions.

Why RSN Coverage Matters
Local RSNs carry significant viewership and host campaigns that often complement national and streaming placements. By folding RSNs into its intelligence fabric, MediaRadar enables marketers to:

  • Track spend and creative across local linear, national, and streaming channels at the DMA level.
  • Compare messaging and frequency across platforms to optimize local and national campaign alignment.
  • Identify regional promotions and measure the effectiveness of localized campaigns.
  • Support publishers in defending and growing revenue through cross-sell insights between RSN and CTV/streaming inventory.

MediaRadar’s Video Everywhere architecture already harmonizes over 35 million creative assets and $280 billion in media spend. The RSN expansion now ensures local linear activity is part of this unified, cross-channel framework, enabling marketers to make faster, data-driven decisions.

“Adding RSNs completes a crucial piece of the puzzle,” said Jay Nielsen, Product VP at MediaRadar. “Local linear is where season-long sponsorships and community relationships live, and marketers need that data to make smarter tradeoffs between national, streaming, and regional buys.”

RSN data is available through MediaRadar’s Marketing Intelligence suite for both existing and new customers, with dashboards and downloadable reports enabling cross-market analysis and alignment with national reporting and streaming intelligence.
