1. How do you see the role of a CTO evolving in the age of AI and automation, particularly in fast-moving sectors like ad tech and martech?

I believe the CTO role is evolving into a dual role – visionary technologist and AI strategist – responsible not just for shipping scalable systems, but for embedding AI and adaptability at every layer of the product and organization. With AI dramatically boosting productivity inside teams, I believe CTOs should get closer to the code than ever – whether leading 20 engineers or 500 – so they can deeply understand the tools, guide architecture decisions, and move fast with confidence.

2. What leadership principles do you rely on when guiding engineering teams through rapid technological transformation?

Clarity of vision, autonomy with accountability, and relentless curiosity are core principles I rely on to keep teams aligned and innovative. I also believe in the power of small teams that own outcomes and ship fast – speed is not just about delivery, it’s about learning quickly and staying competitive in an evolving landscape.

3. Can you share your perspective on balancing innovation with scalability in high-growth tech companies?

Innovation must be intentional and repeatable, grounded in strong systems thinking. Scalability should not be seen as a blocker, but as a design constraint that sharpens creativity. Innovation thrives when teams have the freedom to experiment in small, fast cycles – while scalability demands intentional architecture, clear technical boundaries, and a strong culture of code quality and observability. We build not just for scale, but also for change – by designing modular systems, empowering teams to ship independently, and constantly investing in platform resilience. The key is to make experimentation safe and repeatable, so innovation doesn’t come at the cost of stability.
