Opensignal Launches Broadband Suite to Help ISPs Boost Service and Retention

Opensignal, the global leader in independent consumer connectivity insights, has rolled out a new broadband analytics suite designed to help Internet Service Providers (ISPs) enhance service quality, reduce churn, and gain a competitive edge.

The suite includes two key tools: Broadband Spotlight and Broadband Focus, providing ISPs with both high-level benchmarking and deep-dive analysis of user experience.

Benchmarking with Broadband Spotlight

Broadband Spotlight allows ISPs to benchmark network performance against competitors at national, regional, and city levels. The platform measures experiential metrics such as download speed, consistency, and reliability, giving operators an independent view of how their service stacks up in the market.

“Spotlight helps operators get a birds-eye view of how well their networks perform compared to top competitors,” said Shawn Heidel, President of Network Solutions at Opensignal.

Deep Insights with Broadband Focus

Broadband Focus digs into the drivers of customer experience, uncovering the what, where, when, and why behind both strong and weak network performance. The platform can help internal teams diagnose issues without the expense of field technicians, offering cost-effective ways to optimize network investments.

“In a world of limited resources and expensive deployments, operators must optimize every network investment,” Heidel explained. “Focus identifies lower-cost levers that improve customer experience, regardless of the underlying access technology.”

Global Availability

Opensignal’s broadband suite extends the company’s expertise in mobile network measurement into broadband, marking a significant evolution in its analytics offerings. The tools are currently available in 16 markets, including the USA, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, Saudi Arabia, India, UAE, Japan, Indonesia, Australia, Philippines, and Taiwan.

By combining benchmarking and diagnostic capabilities, the new suite positions ISPs to improve network performance, enhance customer satisfaction, and make smarter, data-driven investment decisions.
